Director's Statement

It's really difficult to prepare for the 48 Hour Film Project, because going into a film not knowing what genre you're even doing or some character that needs to be included limits you far more than I was prepared for. What if the character is interesting enough to write the whole short around? What if we get musical?

The required components (character, prop, and line) were a character named Sean Bliss who was a DJ, a sticker, and the line "If this doesn't work out, I'm blaming you."

We eventually brainstormed the idea that is now Bad Therapist, shot it all in 13 hours, and fully edited/sound designed by 7pm Sunday night to turn in with 30 minutes to spare. It was a blast, and I can't wait to do it all again next year.
