Director's Statement

Bright Future explores the lasting trauma and impact that sexual assault leaves on others that aren’t just the victims. The film demonstrates the need for men to hold other men accountable, and specifically demonstrates how by not holding men accountable, trauma will continue to be perpetuated onto victims and those close to them. In addition to being co-written with Co-Producer/Production Designer, Hope Yohn, and produced by Bonnie Gross, there was also a majority woman production crew, which I believe to be vital when telling stories that center around women’s trauma.
